As you could see from my Sewing Room Makeover photos, I decided it was time to get organized. I had been needing more shelf space for a couple of years, but had to make do with a few bookshelves. It’s so nice to have all my fabric visible on wall shelving – I can already feel the designing muses at work!
My wedding party orders have increased over the past year, which pleases me greatly 
And my local customer base has almost tripled in 2011 as well! “They” (I’m not sure who “they” are, but…) say that it takes about 5 years to grow a small business. I’ve just started my 5th year, and I have to say that I’m glad I stuck it out.
My hopes for 2012 are to grow my costume line. I have many ideas for Steampunk designs and other historical costuming. My dream for a couple of years now has been to add a corset line – modern and historical outer wear, not the lingerie kind.
