… inspired by Greta.

When I saw Greta Garbo in all her Old Hollywood Glam glory, I had to make a dress! Danielle is a halter dress with a sweetheart neckline and jeweled buttons as the closure. She’s a floor length dress with a very long front slit to show some leg. This is a Made To Order dress and can be done in plus sizes.

You modern girls can have it made to knee length. Just ask πŸ™‚

Vintage and retro styles have been on the way back for some time now and I think it’s great! πŸ™‚ There are so many feminine silhouettes from 20th century fashions that celebrate the female form. Currently, I’m working on a project that takes its creative breath from Old Hollywood Glam.

I just want to show you little bits as I move along through the project. (Belinda, my beautiful mannequin, is only an A cup, so please excuse my extra padding to make her more like my customer!) This gown is being made with icy blue silk charmeuse. In these photos, I have begun the bodice. It features a center seam, shirred sides, and a sweetheart neckline. These photos show the construction without the lining. I thought I’d take along during the process so you could see some Hollywood Glam in the making. πŸ™‚
